New Found Glory

I am one who's certainly never forgotten what pop punk did for me in middle school/elementary school. New Found Glory has always been a band that I've loved and somehow never gotten to see. Which is strange seeing is that I've seen Green Day and blink 182, the latter being my probably favorite band of all time for various reasons.

Now, I got word that NFG was dropping a new record. And that would mean a tour. Which meant I had to see it. And I'm fucking glad I did. It was an awesome tour. Fireworks, Set Your Goals (I affectionately call them Shit In Bowls), Bayside, and New Found Glory. Pop punk to the max. And good pop punk at that. So the show rolls around and Bayside is, as usual, great. Set Your Goals is absurd as usual (Good though), and I sadly missed Fireworks, which is a great band. And then it was time for New Found Glory.

They played an AWESOME assortment of songs, from pretty much all their records, and part of a Dasboard song which was badass. All I wanted to hear was Something I Call Personality and they played it. And I freaked, as expected.

Basically, pop punks not dead, New Found Glory Rules.

More reviews next week.
